Who's behind WHOIS Lookup Tool, and answers to the questions we're asked most.
About WHOIS Lookup Tool
WHOIS Lookup Tool is a free set of domain, DNS, IP, website, SSL/security, email security, and domain intelligence tools, built to be fast, clean, and free of the clutter, pop-ups and forced sign-ups found on a lot of other "free tool" websites. Every lookup runs live against public DNS, WHOIS/RDAP, and network sources for that single request — there's no account to create, and no sign-up required to use any tool.
The site covers seven areas:
- Domain Tools — WHOIS Lookup, RDAP Lookup, and registration, ownership and lifecycle details for any domain.
- DNS Tools — DNS Lookup, NS Lookup, MX Lookup, DNS Health Checker, and a DNS Propagation Checker comparing a record across several independent public resolvers.
- IP Tools — IP Lookup, ASN Lookup, IP WHOIS, reverse DNS, geolocation, and blacklist/reputation checks.
- Website Tools — status, redirect, response-time and header checks for any website.
- SSL & Security — certificate, TLS, and security-header checks, plus a Password Generator and Password Strength Checker.
- Email Tools — SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX checks for whether a domain's email will actually get delivered.
- Domain Intelligence — combined, scored reports drawing on the tools above.
Results depend on the public and network information available at the moment a tool runs, and on the specific checks that tool performs — see each tool's own page for what it checks and how.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is WHOIS Lookup Tool free to use?
Yes. Every tool on the site is free, with no sign-up, no usage limits, and no paywalled features.
Do you store the domains, IPs or passwords I look up?
No. Every tool on this site runs live for that single request only — DNS, WHOIS, IP and website checks are not stored, and the password generator/strength checker run entirely in your browser, never sent to a server at all. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How accurate are the results?
Results reflect what the server's DNS resolver — or, for SSL, the live certificate on port 443 — returns at the moment you run the lookup. Because DNS is a distributed, cached system, different tools or locations can briefly show different results after a recent change; this is normal and settles as caches expire.
Can I use these tools for a website or business I don't own?
Yes — all of the lookups here query publicly available DNS and certificate information, the same information any browser or DNS resolver can see. Please don't use the site to enable harassment, unauthorized access, or any other misuse — see our Terms & Conditions.
I found a bug, or a tool isn't working — how do I report it?
Please get in touch via the Contact Us page with as much detail as you can (the domain you searched, the tool used, and what you expected vs. what happened).
Can you add a tool I need?
We're always open to suggestions — send us a note via Contact Us.
How is this site funded — is it really free?
Yes, every tool is free to use. The site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) and affiliate partnerships, not by charging visitors. This never affects the accuracy of any DNS, SSL or security result, which is generated independently and live from the public DNS system — see our Terms & Conditions for our advertising and affiliate disclosure, and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how analytics and advertising cookies are handled.
