About this tool — and its honest limits
This reports exactly what a website's own Server and X-Powered-By headers
say, nothing more. These headers are self-reported by the server — many
administrators deliberately hide, generalize, or falsify them for security reasons, and a CDN or
reverse proxy in front of the actual origin server can replace them entirely with its own value. A
result here reflects what the responding server chose to disclose, not an independently verified fact
about the underlying infrastructure.
Why servers often hide this
Disclosing exact server software and version numbers can help an attacker target known vulnerabilities for that specific version — many security guides recommend suppressing or genericizing these headers, which is why "not disclosed" is common and not itself unusual or suspicious.
