About this tool
Response time is made up of distinct stages, each worth knowing separately: resolving the domain's DNS, establishing the TCP/TLS connection, waiting for the first byte of the response, and finally receiving the complete response. This tool measures and breaks down all four for a single HTML document request.
What this does not measure
A real browser page load also fetches every linked stylesheet, script, image, and font — often dozens of additional requests — then parses, lays out, and paints the page. This tool measures exactly one request: the initial document itself. It's a fast, consistent server-response benchmark, not a full page-load simulation.
