About this tool

DMARC tells receiving mail servers what to do with messages that fail SPF and DKIM alignment checks — and gives you visibility into who's sending mail as your domain, including spoofing attempts, via its reporting addresses.

Reading the policy

  • none — monitoring only; failing mail is delivered normally, but reports are still sent if configured.
  • quarantine — failing mail is typically routed to spam/junk.
  • reject — failing mail is rejected outright.

Moving from none → quarantine → reject gradually, after confirming legitimate mail passes alignment via the aggregate reports, is the standard, safer rollout path — jumping straight to "reject" risks blocking legitimate mail that hasn't been accounted for yet.
