SSL Checker
Quickly check whether a website has a valid, currently-active SSL certificate.
About this tool
This is a fast overall check: is HTTPS working correctly for this domain right now? For a deeper look at the certificate's full details, see SSL Certificate Checker; for the TLS protocol and cipher specifically, see SSL/TLS Checker; for expiry timing alone, see SSL Expiry Checker.
What "valid" means here
Three things all need to be true for a genuinely valid, trustworthy HTTPS connection: the certificate must be issued for the correct hostname, it must be issued by a certificate authority browsers actually trust, and it must not be expired. This check reports all three explicitly, rather than a single pass/fail that could hide which one actually failed.
