Find the nameservers a domain has on file with its registry, with resolved IP addresses.
About this tool, and how it differs from our DNS-based NS Lookup
This tool reads nameservers directly from the domain's registry registration record (via RDAP or WHOIS) — the nameservers the registrar has on file for the domain — and resolves each one to its IPv4/IPv6 address. Our separate NS Lookup tool instead queries live DNS directly to see what nameservers currently answer for the domain right now. These are usually identical, but they can briefly differ right after a nameserver change, since registry records and live DNS propagate on different timelines. If you're troubleshooting a fresh nameserver change, checking both tools together tells you the full picture: what's registered versus what's actually resolving.
Why nameservers matter
Nameservers determine which DNS provider controls a domain's records — its website, email routing, and everything else DNS governs. Confirming the registered nameservers is a useful first check when migrating hosting or DNS providers, or investigating why a domain isn't resolving as expected.
