Redirect Checker

See every hop in a URL's full redirect chain — not just where it ends up.

About this tool

A URL can redirect through several intermediate steps before reaching its final destination — each one adds latency, and a broken link partway through the chain can cause failures that a simple "is it up" check would miss. This tool follows the entire chain manually, one hop at a time, and shows every URL and status code along the way, up to 5 hops.

Why redirect chains matter for SEO

Multiple redirect hops slow down page load and can dilute how search engines pass ranking signals between the old and new URL. A single, direct 301 redirect is generally preferable to a chain of several hops to the same final destination.
